Steps for Jump-Starting

  1. If the rescue vehicle battery is far away from the faulty vehicle battery, place the two batteries closer together.
  2. Shift the gear to the "P".
  3. Turn off all electrical equipment (such as lights, heating, cooling, etc.).
  4. Cover the battery with a dry cloth to reduce the risk of explosion.
  5. Connect the red positive jumper cable as shown in the figure ① → ②. Be careful not to cause short circuit.
  6. Connect the black negative jumper cable as shown in the figure ③ → ④ (vehicle grounding) Be careful not to cause short circuit.
  7. Start the vehicle normally.
  8. After the vehicle is started, carefully disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order of connection.
  9. Properly handle dry cloths to avoid contamination.
